About My San Juan Capistrano

My San Juan Capistrano is an independent visitor guide to one of California's oldest towns. It exists for a simple reason: people arrive for the Mission and the swallows, then discover there's a whole town behind it — Los Rios Street, the equestrian trails, the Friday farmers market, live music at The Coach House — and nobody had put it all in one honest place.

How listings are chosen

Every restaurant, hotel, historic site, and venue on this site is here because it's a real, currently operating part of San Juan Capistrano. Listings are researched from the businesses' own websites and public sources, and each one links out to the official page so you can confirm hours, prices, and reservations before you go. When a place closes, it comes off the site. Nobody pays for a listing or for placement.

How the site is funded

This site is free to read and free to subscribe to. It's supported by third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads are labeled and served by ad networks; they do not influence which businesses appear in our directories or how they're described.

Accuracy and corrections

Hours change, kitchens close early, and events get rescheduled. We update the guide regularly, but always confirm with the business or venue before making the drive. If you spot something wrong, or you run a local business that belongs here, we'd genuinely like to hear from you — reach us on the contact page.

Independence

My San Juan Capistrano is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the City of San Juan Capistrano, Mission San Juan Capistrano, or any business listed on the site.
